How to Use a Fire Extinguisher

Remember PASS:

  1. Pull the safety pin at the top to break the tamper seal.

  2. Aim at the base of the fire.

  3. Squeeze the handle to release the extinguishing agent.

  4. Sweep from side to side, continuing to aim at the base until the fire is extinguished.

(Use only for small, manageable fires. If the fire spreads quickly, evacuate immediately and contact emergency services.)
